So yesterday Zach was watching Super Why on Robs computer while I cooked dinner. For those of you who have not been to my house Robs computer is in the dining room so you can see and hear it from the kitchen.
Anyways Zach was watching his show which basically tells stories and also teaches kids about spelling. At the end of the show they show three words and ask the kids to pick the words. The first word Zach had to find was quiet. I asked him which one was quiet and he pointed right to it. The second word was tall. I asked him which one was tall and he pointed right to that one! The third one was small. I asked him to point and again he did. 3 for 3! Not to shabby for a 2 year old. So not only can he count to 20, spell his name, and know his letters now he reads.... well kind of :) I still say he is pretty smart. Maybe it is something with being the middle child... I have heard they are the coolest! :)
Elle does the same thing if I write 8 names on a sheet of paper and picks out Eliana, Mommy, Aaron, Jason, Jayden, Papa, Alexandra and LouLou - they're smart! She even will read a book with you two or three times and then say 'my turn' and read you the book turning the page at the proper point.
