Happy 8th birthday Alex!

Well Alex today you turn 8! I can not believe how fast these years have flown by! 8years ago your dad and I were sitting in a hospital holding this tiny little baby and wondering what you would be like. Well you are amazing! You are so outgoing and such a leader. People are just drawn to you. You have an amazing athletic ability with every sport! From being able to drive a golf ball when you were two, hitting a pitch by 2, basketball, swimming, riding a bike etc....it all comes so natural to you. ( you get it from me you know) :) I love watching you everyday to see what you will come up with. Wether it's building towers with cups, jumping over trucks on your bike or skateboard, figuring out how things work it seems your mind is always going a million miles and just sucking in knowledge. Of course you do have your stubborn side as well. ( you get that from daddy) :) and when you get your mind stuck on something it can be a battle. You are so creative and always wanting to learn, which we love! Your teachers adore you, your coaches talk about how amazing you are, and you have lots of friends. Sometimes when we talk to you it's like a conversation with a 30 year old. These past 8 years have been wonderful, trying at times, but the good out ways the bad. You have grown to be a great older brother, amazing son, wonderful newphew, and good friend to those around you. I love you and hope you have a happy happy birthday! Love mom

Busy life

Our lives have been crazy lately. Between gymnastics practice and meets on weekends, Alex's basketball practices and games on weekends, trying to finish up some odds and ends on our current house and figuring out everything we are buying for the new house it has been crazy. Throw in sledding, play dates, birthday parties, date nights, and just having kids I feel like we have been going no stop for the last month and it isn't going to end. We have Alex's birthday on the 23rd, which I will be at a meet all day. We have his family party the night before and his friends party a couple weeks later. We still have to figure out what we are getting him for his birthday as well. We have been looking at appliances, furniture and knick knacks non stop to see prices for the new house. I can not wait to move but I know it is going to be crazy. With a month or less before school starts we will move and at the end of August we will be heading to Colorado and Wyoming for 9 days to go to my brothers wedding, which all 3 kids are on. We have so much going on but busy is good. I'd rather have things to do than be bored. Although with three kids it is hard to ever be bored. :)
