Happy 7th birthday to alex

See that sweet little face? Well you have grown for this to....

this...

Scary!!! Before I know it you will be driving!!! Today you are 7...I CAN NOT believe that 7 years have gone by since we first welcomed you into this world. You were always a easy going baby and have grown into a easy going but very independent 7 year old. I should have know when you were 5 months old and crawling that you would be a busy kid. You love to be outside skateboarding or riding you bike. Or playing on of the many sports you make look so easy. You are so athletic and so intelligent for your age! Even your first grade teacher says you act and speak like a 30 year old at times. You have always acted like a little adult ( most of the time) and love to hang out with us and our friends whenever they are around.
You are caring and sweet and are a amazing big brother to Zach and Addie. They both look up to you and want to do everything you are doing. And its great to watch you play with them or take care of them when something happens. You have a huge heart, a huge personality, a bit of a stubborn streak ( we can blame dad for that) :). You know what you want and you are willing to work for it and sometimes fight for it.
I have loved watching you grow from a baby to a toddler and now into a little man. The past seven years have brought so much joy and happiness to our family and I can not wait to see what the next 7 years bring us. Happy birthday Alex. I love you!

A girl and her monkey...

I know I have talked many times about the love Addie has for her monkey. It comes EVERYWHERE with her. Yesterday I took the kids and monkey to the park. Monkey was dragged through the sand, the wood chips, up and down the stairs and slides and pushed in the dumped truck. Her is how Addie and monkey spent their time at the park.

The girl clearly loves monkey...and I think monkey is pretty happy too!

this and that

We have been super busy lately. Between Rob working late, kids stuff, me working, planning a bridal shower and bachlorette party, the new house, and being social we have been running around like crazy.
We have been spending the last couple weekends with friends. Mostly Sarah and Aaron. Letting the kids play,or having the guys go out while we have a girls night or a moms day out. The kids have also been loving the warmer weather. There have been many trips to the park and days with the boys playing outside and riding bikes.
And by dinner time kids are worn out and starving....notice the picture

I am excited to start doing bike rides with Alex again and be able to do our afternoon walks now that the weather is getting nice! Not to mention I love having kids that are exhausted and pass out when their head hits the pillow!
