A couple more days and we will be off to San Diego!!! I can not wait. Wamr weather, sunshine, beaches, and the first BIG family trip ever.... plus Aaron, Sarah and Elle... who are like family too.
We have been planning this vacation for almost a year and now it is days away. This will be Addie and Ellies first time on a airplane so I am hoping they both do okay. I know Alex will be fine because he has flown to Colorado many times, and Zach has as well. I am done packing the kids, and tomorrow I will pack for Rob and me. We still have a couple things to pick up before we leave but other than that we are basically set.
We are staying in a 3bdrm,3bath townhouse for 8 days. And we are also going to be going to Legoland twice, Sea World, Wild animal park and having many days at the beaches and by the pool. The kids are going to LOVE it!!! I personally love San Diego and would move there in a heartbeat.I am sure the days will be long and there will be a few meltdowns at times from tired kids... and maybe some tired adults but overall it should be a great experience. And it will be a good warm-up for when we do Disney in a couple years.
Fun little blog for family and friends to hear about our daily lives and what the kids and I do all day long. Also a place for me to complain if needed :)

My baby girl

Well my little miss aka Addelyn Noelle is a little over 13 months now and my how time has flown by. Having a girl is defiantly different than having boys. I always told Rob that I wanted a girl so she could be a daddy's girl and he could understand what I go through with the boys. That did NOT happen! She is 100% a mamas girl and as adorable as she is she is drama as well. Which I also ell Rob we should have named her!
For the most part she is so easy going and very independent which I love, but if she is tired or hungry she is drama! And her brothers are so sweet and will constantly give her toys, or her sippy cup and play with her to try to keep her entertained while I am cooking... although at times she whinds up in my arms instead.
She already has 12 teeth and is walking like crazy and talking as well. She now says mama, dada, Zach, yes and hi. And she is blowing kisses which is the cutest thing ever and after she claps.
Everyone warned me that having a girl would be different than my crazy boys and it is but in a good way. I do however love that she enjoys their trains and trucks more than her baby dolls, but she is a huge fan of stuff animals. She is loud and wants everyone to know when she is around, and loves to chase after the boys which is fun to watch.
And so far there has been no princess stuff in the house and no one has called her it as well so that is amazing. We all know how I feel about all the princess crap. For now she is my squish monster or my little miss and I think those names are much cuter and better than princess.

Welcome Uncle Matt
Last weekend my brother Matt aka Buff and his girlfriend Lindsay were in Chicago visiting. Alex has met Lindsay before but this was our first time meeting her, and also their first time meeting Addelyn. And we had plenty of activities planned for their visit!
On Saturday they brought over the kids birthday presents which of course meant we had to build a train track with Zach. I think Buff and Lindsay learned just how intense train track building can be. :) We then decided to take the boys out for a little sledding for Zach and snowboarding for Alex. This was Zachs first time sledding on a big hill and Alexs first time snowboarding. And they had a blast!! Zach had no problem laying on the sled and flying down the hill and loves every moment of it. As for Alex he was doing amazing!!! He made it all the way down the hill quite a few times and by Sunday he was turning and jumping off little hills made in the snow. Pro snowboarder???? Maybe?? And the smile on his face was priceless!! He was so excited everytime we clapped or told him he was awesome.

Saturday night we had some friends and their kids over for a big playdate/adult dinner which was also a huge success. The adults ate and had a couple drinks while the kids ran around and destroyed my house. :) In a good way!
On Sunday we met up with my brother and Lindsay again along with Aaron and Sarah and Elle for some swimming. I love having kids that love water. Alex learned to swim over the summer ( go me I taught him myself) and wanted to show everyone and Zach has no fear and loves the water. He is the only 3 year old I know that loves to jump into the water and go under without freaking out. Future swimmer???? Maybe??? After a quick lunch it was time for a little more sledding, and a early night for us all.
Overall it was a very busy but very fun weekend and hopefully Matt and Lindsay can visit again soon. Or maybe we should send the boys to them.... they do get a lot of snow in Jackson Hole!

Blizzard of 2011
As everyone know we had a blizzard last week. It was the first HUGE snow storm that Alex and Zach will remember. And Alex was very very excited to say the least. He LOVES winter (I wonder if he is my child sometimes) and everything that goes with it. The sledding, the ice skating, building forts, playing with his trucks in it etc...

Today he got to try something new. My dad took him to a local forest preserve by our home to go walk around and play in the snow. While they were there they saw a guy ice fishing on the lake and he invited them to try it. Alex thought it was the coolest thing. When he got home he want to make a pond outside, stick fish in it and freeze it so he could fish some more. That obviously was not going to happen but I am happy that he enjoyed it. I don't know what he will do if we ever move somewhere that it doesn't snow.... me on the the other hand...I would be just fine. :)
