Love my Life!

I feel very very lucky that I am able to stay home with my kids and NOT have to work! I love being able to have lazy pj days if we want, or go to the park in the morning or afternoon when it is nice out and also be able to go to the gym almost everyday.
Its great never feeling like I am rushed to get out the door to drop the kids off and go to work. Not to mention I love being able to take Alex to the bus stop nad be there when he gets home from school so I can hear all about his day while it is still fresh in his mind. Oh and nap time.... total BONUS!!!! I mean who doesn't love being able to nap at least 5 times a week???? IT IS AWESOME!!!!! I read so many things on fb and twitter from moms who hate their jobs, or are stressed about having to work and I feel so lucky that I am not one of them. I eman do not get me worng, I understand some people HAVE to work and some people WANT to work and props to them for doing what they need to, I am just happy I am not one of those moms.
But don't get me wrong, not everyday is easy. There are days when a kid or 2 or 3 are sick, or crabby, or tired and they have their moments which means I have my moments, but for the most part it is still great. And once Addelyn is in first grade I will go back to work, probably in real estate ( lets pray the market picks up) but even then I will only work from 9-2:30, so I can still be home when my kids get home from school and I can play taxi cab driving them to their after school sports or activites and all that fun stuff.

Garage Sale

So yesterday we decided to do our garage sale again since last week it got rained out. We did not sell as much as I had hoped but we still made money and got rid of A LOT of toys! As for the left over clothes some are going on ebay and A LOT of Addelyns are going to be donated to someone who can really use them. The kids had a blast playing outside all day and Sarah came over to help and let Elle run around with the boys. And yes we did use Alex as a marketing tool by having him dress up, but it worked! He got a lot of cars and one guy even told us he ONLY stop buy because of Alex. Alex also made good money selling lemonade...especially from Aaron since he paid 1 dollar for a 25 cent cup and Alex decided he did not get any change! Here are a few pics!

Camp Out

So last night I decided to let Alx have a fort in the living room and go camping... I know I am one cool mom. :) He LOVED it. He loved it so much that I had to re-build it today after gymnastics class so the boys could sit in it and eat lunch! Maybe next summer he will get to go camping for real!

OMG WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So tonight the kids and I decided to meet up with Sarah, Elle and Kelly and grab some pizza at Phillies and have a fun night out. Which we did. Good food, good conversation and a discounted dinner thanks to my mother in law! So after dinner I packed up the troops and headed home. When we got home I was getting the 2 little ones out of the car and I asked Alex to unbuckle and grab his backpack to bring inside. He told me his belt was twisted and had to take off his sweatshirt. So I said fine and brought the little ones inside and then heard Alex crying. I went back out to the car and somehow, I still don't know how, he had twisted the seat belt around him( i am guessing before he buckled it in)and when he undid it it tighten up and he was stuck. I mean STUCK! I literally had to strip my 5yr old down to his underwear and try to shimmy him out of the belt. It took a good 15 minutes and I thought for sure I was going to have to cut the seat belt. We were trying everything and finally he was able to slide out as I slowly pulled it up!
I am almost positive that he is trying to drive me insane to the point where I am going to commit myself to a mental hospital! I do not understand how someone who has been putting his seat belt on for a couple years thinks twisting it would be fun. At least we got him out, did not have to cut the belt and I am SURE he learned his lesson and will not do it again!

WE GET IT!!!!!

I am so tired of going on facebook or twitter and constantly reading tweets, fb stauses and blogs about how much everyone loves their kid! We get it! I love my 3 little ones, but I do not feel the need to update everyone on it constantly and to only write blogs about it. I feel like these people think that if they do not let everyone know that they love their kids someone might think otherwise.
I am going to assume that since you had a kid/s you love them. I am going to assume that everything they do you find adorable and I am going to assume that you think they are brilliant and that no matter what they do they will be better than everyone else.
I am assuming this because I am a parent and that is how I think. The only difference is I KNOW my kids are brilant and I KNOW they are better than all other kids! :) Just kidding????? So to recap... i get it you love your kids, now shut up about it!

Garage Sale!

SO this Saturday we are having a garage sale. I started pricing our old kids clothes over the weekend, and also had Rob get all our shit... I mean really useful stuff, out of the attic. I never realized how many toys we had sitting up there. Bins and bins full of old toys, which I plan on selling. Of course once the boys, especially Alex saw them, he just had to have them! They are his most favorite toys as he put it. So favorite that they have been in the attic for at least a year, if not longer and he has never missed them.
I am really worried that no one will show up and I would have wasted a bunch of time and energy putting everything together. I am selling almost everything for under 10 bucks. We just do not have room for all the extra junk. Sleepers alone I have about 35 out so far and there are still more sitting in my room waiting to be priced. Its crazy! You never realize how much crap you accumulate when you have kids until you try to get rid of it all.
Alex will be selling cookies and lemonade and he gets to keep whatever money he makes. Which really means that he will ask to go to the toy store and buy a new toy with whatever money he makes.
Long story short hopefully we can sell some stuff and the rest will be donated so either way people will be getting our old shit... I mean nice things :)

Really?

So yesterday the kids and I decided to enjoy the beautiful weather by taking a trip to a park they have never been too. Yes, that is one of the things we do around here. We adventure out in hopes of finding new parks!
So we headed to Glen Ellyn and went to a park on Main Street. And I was sitting on the bench watching the boys play in the sand and listening to two ladies talk. Apparently one knew the others sister in law and they started talking about their kids. They each had two boys around 4 yrs old and toddlers ( we will say 18-22 months) Both these ladies were older than me. One was in her 40's and the other in her late 30's. And suddenly I heard one say " she makes it look so easy with her kids." And I almost started laughing.
Here I am at 29, holding my 7 month old and watching my 2.5 yr old and 5 yr old play in the sand with the other kids and I am thinking is this really hard? Are there days that suck, of course, but isn't that true with any job? Are there days that are exhausting? Yes. But really people this whole parent thing is NOT impossible.
Of course there are days where I think my children's only purpose is to drive me insane, but they are kids. And they go through phases and for the most part I think I am pretty good at rolling with the punches. Here's my new rule. If you think one is hard, you are an idiot and should Not have another. If you think 2 are hard don't have a third. If you think three is hard don't have a fourth and so on and so on. I am one of those crazy people that actually think the more kids the easier it gets. I would have loved to have twins or triplets but I am happy with the three I have. Although given the chance I would have a fourth :)
If you go into parenthood thinking it is going to be all smiles and sunshine all the time than you never should of had a kid. There are days that are going to be horrible and days that will be great, and everything in between. That's called parenthood and life! Get use to it!

Been Busy

That's right guys I have been BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!!!! We started a new routine of going tot he gym even earlier in the morning, so last week I was busy getting the kids use to that. My friend Jen and I are working out together at 9/9:30 am everyday. I know we are insane! Its not like chasing kids, making food, changing diapers, laundry, dishes, playing nurse, teacher, mentor etc.... is a workout everyday or anything.
We are up by 8 am every morning, out to door by 8:45ish, and at the gym for almost 2 hrs every morning. Come home, feed the kid lunch, get Alex off to school on the bus, put the little ones down for a nap, clean up lunch, nap or clean up other parts of the house, pick up Alex, do something with all 3 kids, make dinner, eat dinner, baths and bed. Its a crazy life but that is our life right now. '
And on top of that I have decided to have a garage sale. So I have been going through all the kids old clothes and toys, and our clothes and random crap we do not need trying to get it all in order and figure out prices. Hopefully we can pull this off and hopefully we will have nice weather for it as well. I am worried because I know mother nature and I do have a feud going on and she loves to screw me over so we will see.
Oh and the greatest news..... my camera was found!!!! My twin was at the zoo the other day and they FINALLY had it in the lost in found. She told them her sister lost her camera and he saw a picture of me on it and said that there was no denying that we were sisters. Quite funny since we are NOT related at all. He also said that Addie was the most adorable baby he has ever seen, and I totally agree with that!
Well I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the long weekend!I'm off to watch a movie!
