And he's off!!!

Last night Alex left for his trip to Colorado and Wyoming. He flew out with my dad to Colorado and then on Wednesday him and my mom will be driving up to Wyoming to see my brother. We have been sending Alex to Colorado since he was 3. It started with just a week long trip and now he goes for about 2.5 weeks every summer. This will be the first time he goes up to Jackson Hole to see my brother and he is going to have a blast. He loves just hanging out and helping my parents in the yard, going to the park and splash parks. Doing a little hiking and just playing. My mom still has a lot of our old toys...everyone remember domino rally ( hell yeah)??? She also has a lot of our board games, knex and legos and many more. Man toys were awesome in the 80's and 90's! They are also going to go to the botanical gardens and the childrens museum out in Colorado. When they go up to Wyoming they will do some hiking and take the tram to the top of the tetons. They are also going to either do a white water rafting trip or just a float trip. Next weekend they will head to Yellowstone so Alex can do the junior ranger program for the day and of course see Old Faithful. I warned him of the smell but I don't think he believed me! And since my brother has a bike race next weekend my mom and Alex will be heading to my borthers friends horse ranch. He is going to get to feed the horses and then they are going to surprise him with a horse back riding trip. He is going to have a blast!!! He always does and it is nice that he gets to have a lot of one on one time. While he is gone we will be hanging with the 2 little ones for the most part. Next weekend we are taking Zach camping while Addie is with grandparents. I can not wait. I don't know when the last time Zach had Rob and me all to himself...especially for a whole weekend! The next couple of weeks will fly by I am sure but it is a good way to end our summer vacation!

the personalities is this house

Oh the personalites in my house. You have me and Rob..

Lets go oldest to youngest...you have me.. I am very outgoing, stubborn, blunt, honest, and a HUGE smartass. I love to hang with my family and friends and just have a good time and let loose. I am also VERY protective of my kids...if you mess with them you will answer to me and it will not be pretty. Rob.. well he is a nerd :) He loves his video games but he is also very smart. He is stubborn like I am, and also a smartass. He is very smart and good with numbers and finances. He is also very protective of not only the kids but me as well. Mess with one of us and he will come for you. Now lets move to my crazy kids.

Alex...ah the first born. He is very independent ( which is awesome!) and loves to hang out with his friends. He is super athletic ( which he gets from me)and very smart. He acts like a adult and as his teach put it " has a vast knowledge of wordly views".. but he is also stubborn. Oh that kid..he is just like his mom! He is ver protective over Addie, and sometimes Zach and even though he wants to think he is such a big man he is still a mamas boy at times, and I love it. Zach aka Zachy Zach... he is a lover. This kid tells me he loves me at least 20 times a day, not to mention all the hugs and kisses. He is a people pleaser ( middle child for sure) and for the most part is very easy going. He loves to be outside and he loves loves loves his sister. If anyone is ever mean to her he is the first one to jump in and stand up for the girl. He wants to learn about everything and just soaks it all in like a sponge! Addie, oh the baby in the family. She is a spunky one. She is loving and loves her zachy and Alex. She wants to be with the boys all the time. She is very nurturing and is always "cooking" for her monkeys and babies and taking care of them. She is loud and loves to do flips and handstands and she is also a little stubborn. She knows what she wants and she will tell you until you understand. She loves to read and has a vocab like most 3-4 year olds and she loves to talk and be heard. She also loves to dance. This one is probably going to be a wild child as a teenager...unless she is too busy training for the olympics :) Well thats us...its a crazy household and I love it. We might butt heads at times but things always work out. ANd I wouldnt change it for anything!

Hope everyone had a great fourth of July!!!!

We had a nice little bbq with some friends and then did the fireworks at ty warner.Once again the glow sticks and sparklers were a huge hit with the kids! Needless to say everyone was exhausted by the time we got home at 11 last night and slept in till 10 this morning. We then spent the day today at the pool with the kids. The kids all had fun going on the waterslides and playing in the water and the HUGE sandbox. We were there for about 4-5 hours today so hopefully we have some tired kids. Hope everyone else enjoyed the fourth!
